Cinder (Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer

So, Cinder works as a mechanic, exploited by her stepmother and stepsisters, her only companion is her friend Iko

One day, she meets Prince Kai

Later she’s captured and experimented on by Dr. Erland
But wait!
Cinder is not her deceased father’s actual daughter – it’s all ~very mysterious~, she was adopted at a time when the Lunar’s Queen Levana
murdered her sister (the true queen) and supposedly murdered her niece, princess Selene…
who may have escaped…

If you think this simplistic rendering of the plot and the blatant comparisons are criticism, then you seriously underestimate how much I LOVE Sailor Moon.

Okay, so the plot is what it is, and the characters are entertaining but not very deep. BUT I REALLY LIKED THIS in the same way I liked Sailor Moon.
Things don’t have to be perfect literary masterpieces, or the author’s magnum opus, to be entertaining and awesome
And that’s just what Cinder is!
