A deliciously quirky and scary short story, about a brave girl named Coraline; and the adventures that await her when she dares opening a door...
Neil Gaiman uses words as if they're precious metals. If they aren't needed, you won't find them in here.
The better to scare you ;)
“Cats don't talk at home.”
“No?” said the cat.
“No,” said Coraline.
The cat leaped smoothly from the wall to the grass near Coraline's feet. It stared up at her.
“Well, you're the expert on these things,” said the cat dryly.
“After all, what would I know? I'm only a cat.”
I know that I'm probably the last person in the world to have read this story, but better late... ;)
