Ms. Marvel #2 by G. Willow Wilson and Adrian Alphona

So in the last issue we ended up with a huge cliffhanger where Kamala actually turns into her media imposed idea of beautiful, you know, all white, blonde, and blue eyed. How does that work out for her?

Kamala is absolutely ADORABLE and FUNNY. Once she kind of gets over what happened to her (though still distressed that the transformation into a super hero reveals that the costumes don't include underwear) she decides to try and see if she can transform again at will.
As it turns out, it takes Kamala's feeling of inadequacy to trigger her powers, which include switching from different looks and sizes - as she finds out after she makes herself tiny and is faced with a giant (actually normal sized) cockroach:
We see Kamala try to work through her new-found powers and responsibilities, and what they entail. Trying to figure out how to do the right thing, drawing wisdom from her upbringing - and we still have time for a very important lesson:

And I cannot wait to read the next issue!!!
